Martin, Tennessee, Description The Office of Campus Recreation is seeking an individual who can create and maintain a “digital experience” for users that reflects the quality experiences, facilities and programing Campus Recreation offers to students and the public at large. This position also is responsible for ensuring effective management of memberships, general office functions, and creating a welcoming environment for all patrons of Campus Recreation. All applicants will need to submit an electronic portfolio and links to social media accounts that reflect professional work. Digital Marketing Duties * Build and execute marketing strategy for the Office of Campus Recreation primarily digital, but may extend to other media outlets as needed * Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification * Generate, edit, publish, and share original content that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take-action * Set up and optimize office pages within each platform to increase the visibility of the office’s social content. This involves understanding each platform’s algorithm preferences so that the office’s published content is more visible to followers over other competitors. * Moderate all user-generated content including responding to messages and comments * Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules * Oversee the management of the (student) Social Media Ambassador program * Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information * Collaborate with other departments to coordinate marketing of joint programing * Oversee the presentation and all content of the website making sure information is updated regularly using any modern digital presentation formats that are compatible with the University’s website platform. Memberships & Office Management Duties * Manage all memberships for the Student Recreation Center and Elam Center * Manage student access to the Student Recreation Center and Elam Center * Manage locker rentals for Student Recreation Center * Assist clients by providing membership, facility, and program information * Manage the business office and its functions including the office phone system, visitors, staff calendar, staff meeting notes, filing system & recordkeeping, office supplies & inventory, mail & incoming/outgoing documents, and office email lists & correspondences * Assists with event planning and preparation * Assists with the preparation of reports * Deposit and record monetary transactions * Process invoices, departmental travel, and procurement card statements * Ensures security, integrity, and confidentiality of data * Caries out other duties as may be assigned in keeping with the functions of the position
